If you’ve been considering energy efficiency upgrades like solar panels, heat pumps, or EV chargers, now is an excellent time to act. The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) is officially available in Canmore, offering grants and low-interest financing for both residential and commercial properties. In addition, Calgary CEIP is gearing up for another intake, with residential reopening soon and commercial CEIP expected shortly thereafter.

Canmore CEIP: Grants Available for Residential & Commercial Properties

The Canmore CEIP program helps property owners reduce upfront costs for clean energy and efficiency upgrades, with repayment conveniently added to property taxes over time.

Residential CEIP in Canmore – $500 Grant Available

Homeowners in Canmore can access CEIP financing and receive a $500 residential grant when participating in the program. Eligible upgrades include:

Calgary CEIP Update: Residential February 17, Commercial Coming Soon

Calgary Residential CEIP — February 17 at 9:00am

Calgary Residential CEIP is expected to reopen on February 17 at 9:00am. At this time, the City has not confirmed the number of available seats, and past intakes have filled very quickly. Preparing in advance is strongly recommended.

  • Reviewing qualifying upgrades

  • Having quotes and system designs ready

Calgary Commercial CEIP — Expected Early 2026

Calgary Commercial CEIP is expected to launch in early 2026, and based on current timelines, we anticipate it opening within the next couple of weeks. While an official date has not yet been announced, commercial and multi-family property owners should begin preparing now to avoid missing out once the intake opens.
